July 31st - Bracket Creek to Grassy

THIS WEEK'S PLAN:

DATE:  July 31th, 2013
TIME:  6:00pm
TRAIL:  Grassy Mountain (Bracket Creek to Grassy and back)
We are going back to Bracket Creek again!  This is an out-and-back, so you'll be able to pick your own pace and then turn back whenever you want.  Here's the GPS from a few weeks ago.

Caution for Sexy Mules

The rumors are true... sexy mules are being spotted throughout Gallatin County.  This is of course due to the fact that Team Muleterro has received their latest Jersey Kits.  It just so happened one was spotted at the Top of South Cottonwood:

Just wait until you see the Lady Mules in their new kits... they will be sure to cause "distracted bike accidents!!"

July 24th - Emerald Lake

THIS WEEK'S PLAN:

DATE:  July 24th, 2013
TIME:  6:00pm
TRAIL:  Emerald Lake
Emerald Lake is a great trail for everyone.  Round Trip it will be about 8.8 miles, but since it is an "out-and-back" you get to choose how far you want to ride and turn around early.  I'm sure it has some steep sections that I forget about, but compared to some of the recent trails we've done, Emerald Lake is also good for everyone since it isn't so steep. Check out the GPS from last year.  Unfortunately, I won't be able to join this week - but Erica and her posse will be going and would love your company!

July 17th - Sypes Canyon

THIS WEEK'S PLAN:

DATE:  July 17th, 2013
TIME:  6:00pm
TRAIL:  Sypes Canyon
Sypes Canyon is another steep trail, but probably a little less steep than the last two (Shafthouse and Truman).  We'll take our time on the way in (which will be all uphill), but then we will be rewarded with some great views and a fun, quick ride back out. Check out the GPS from last year (ignore the road section).

LAST WEEK RECAP:

Top of Shafthouse!

July 10th - Shafthouse

THIS WEEK'S PLAN:

DATE:  July 10th, 2013
TIME:  6:00pm  (that's leaving by 6pm, so please show up a little early... especially for this ride!!)
TRAIL:  Shafthouse
Shafthouse can be done as an "out-and-back" or as a loop.  More than likely we will just do the out-and-back, but we can vote on Wednesday if lots of you want to do the loop version.  It is all uphill on the way in, and then all downhill on the way out.  It is considered to be technical due to some of the rocky sections. It is certainly one of the popular rides in the area for a good reason - the views are amazing and the ride is tons of fun! Check out the GPS from last year.
