Welcome to Team Muleterro

We are MULES. Montana's Ultimate Leaders of Endurance Sports.

Team Muleterro is a bike team in Bozeman, Montana. We love to bike! You'll see us at all sorts of races, especially Mountain Bike, Cyclocross, BMX, Triathlons and even some Road races. We're the loud, fast, high kicking group that is having more fun than everyone else. After all... that's why we do it - it's FUN!

Even more photos from the Race!

We've just added even more photos from the race to our Flickr account... and these photos are much better quality!  I'm sure it is just the camera that made these so much nicer (Ha ha!!  It's obvious it the photographer!!)

Feel free to go to our MuleX - 2017 Album to see all photos.  Or if you just want to see the new photos from Alizabeth Bronsdon, you can just view the photos tagged with Alibeemt.  By the way, if you like one of the new photos and would like one that doesn't have a watermark, you just need to email Alizabeth.

A huge thanks to Ali for taking (and sharing) these pictures!!

Thanks You Crazy Bike People!

When Team Muleterro and Team GAS get together, it is a fun time no matter what the weather does!  Thanks to everyone who came out to our super-snowy cyclocross bike race this year!  It is crazy to see the difference in weather between 2016 and 2017 (just check out our photos on flickr).  While it might have been snowy (and then muddy by the end), we had such a great time.  No matter if you raced, helped organize the race or just spectated - THANK YOU for joining us!  We hope you had as much fun as we did.  What can we say... crazy is contagious!  Cheers!

Start of the Men A class race
Our cyclocross race started snowy, but got muddy by the end
Look at this laughing group - cyclocross in the snow is fun!
Mule X 2017 turned out to be beautiful!
We hear it a lot: "A group of drinkers with a biking problem"
What a great group of crazy people who love bikes!

See more photos on our flickr account.

Mule/Gas Cross is ON

Sure, it is snowy... but that doesn't stop crazy bikers from having fun!!  The race for tomorrow is still on!  The course is set up and we'll be there (you'll see us over by the fire, drinking warm coffee from Ghost Town)!

MuleX - Bring Food

Don't forget, we are collecting food for the Gallatin Valley Food Bank - so bring along a donation of food.  Nothing warms you up, quite like doing a good deed.

Correction: MuleX Masters

Oops - we forgot "Masters" are different this year.  Both Masters 40+ and Masters 50+ will be racing at 3pm with Mens 1/2/3 for 60 minutes.

Mule Cross 2015 is coming this Halloween!

Registration is open for MuleX 2015 - which is on Saturday, October 31st, 2015.  Don't miss the funnest cyclocross race in Montana.

Oh, and don't forget - We will be collecting cans of food for the Bozeman Food Bank.  While many organizations like to use positive encouragement, we do things a little different.  So, everyone who doesn't bring food will have to kiss Cory Hardy.  If you forget your food donation, I hope you don't also forget your chap stick, cause you're going to need it!

June Rides

Sorry, I haven't been able to update the website as frequently as I'd like - but don't let that fool you - the rides are still happening every week!

We've had some great rides to places like:

Truman:

RHR - Truman - 2015

Grassy Mountain:

Rapelje 2015 -24 Hours of Double Ass

Rapelje was HOT.  My garmin recorded the Max temperature as 105.8 degrees.  There were only two Mules (aka: Double Ass) representing at the event this year.  When you consider the temperature, it makes you wonder if the other Mules were smart to stay home?

May 20th - South Cottonwood

Wednesday's Round House Ride was great. We chose to hit South Cottonwood.  The trail was perfect for riding, with just a few wet spots, mostly in the rock garden areas. My favorite part was "no wind" - since it seems like the wind hasn't stopped blowing in Bozeman. Who knew you could head to the hills and hide from the wind?! Great!

A big thanks to whoever cleared the trail. (Rumor has it that our friends with horses were up there just the previous week clearing the trail. A huge thanks to them!)

Below are a few of my favorite photos:

2015 Weekly Rides have begun!

The weekly rides have started!  Sunday we started off the season by riding the classic mountain bike trail in Bozeman: Leverich.  It was awesome.  Everyone had fun... even Kyle... who is probably out shopping for a new helmet.  (Note to other riders, if you're going to crash, don't go head first into a stump.)  I wish I had photos from Sunday's first ride, but unfortunately I forgot my phone.  Sorry.

Exercise = Happiness

It’s January, that time of year when you look back at the previous year and reflect.  As I do this, I feel so lucky.  Last year was a great year!  Why, because I was happy.  Why was I so happy, you ask?  I’ve spent a little time to reflect on this question, and here’s the epiphanies I’ve discovered:

Hippies and Hinnies of 2014

Mules looking for some Sun and a break from the harsh Montana Winter packed up and headed south to look for some hinnies. The past couple of years mules have migrated to St. George, UT. This year we decided to push a little farther to a place that used to be called Old Sedona, which was viciously taken from Mexico in the Spanish-American War (Yeah we know some history!).

Samule was stoked on how cheap VIT D doping was in Sedona.

All Day Davis, while not quite a mule, drank the kool aid.
